01 Why Agreely

Three things foreign banners do not do.

Most cookie banners are silos designed elsewhere and translated after the fact. This one was born in Quebec, inside a platform dedicated to Law 25.

Integrated with your Law 25 file

The banner is not an isolated product: it lives inside the Agreely platform, alongside your consents, your registers and your access requests. One place to document your practices.

Is a banner enough to be compliant with Law 25 in Quebec?

No, and be wary of anyone who promises that. Compliance depends on your purposes, your practices and your documentation. Agreely helps you document and demonstrate your compliance: the cookie inventory, the decision log, the integrity proofs. The responsibility itself remains yours, and the Commission d'acces a l'information (CAI) is the body that oversees Law 25 in Quebec.

What ends up on the public chain?

No personal information. Only an opaque 32-byte digital fingerprint is periodically anchored there, like a wax seal. It proves the recorded decisions were not changed after the fact; it cannot be traced back to your visitors.

Does installation require a developer?

A single tag pasted in your site's head, like an audience measurement tool. WordPress, Shopify, custom site: if you can paste one line, you can install it. The zero-click test then confirms everything is enforced.

My security policy (CSP) is strict. Will this break?

No. A single origin to allow, cdn.agreely.ca, for script-src, connect-src and img-src. No inline styles, and integrity hashes (SRI) on pinned versions.

What happens if I go over my plan?

Nothing brutal. Caps are soft: the banner keeps working and keeps blocking non-essential cookies. From the free tier, we simply invite you to the $15 per month banner; beyond 100,000 page loads, we write to you to agree on the next step.

What about cookies set by my server (httpOnly)?

A script in the browser can neither read nor delete them: it is a technical limit every banner shares, including the ones that never mention it. We give you a clear guide to honor the visitor's choice on the server side.

Will the banner slow down my site or hurt my SEO?

No. The loader is tiny and asynchronous, the banner never blocks your content and never shifts your layout. Crawlers see your site exactly as before.
